  • fencing off of remnant vegetation and tree planting

Training for the Future

CDEP
Part of CDEP participation includes ongoing environmental education and training. While working for Parklands the CDEP staff have the opportunity to undertake a variety of environmentally based certificates which complements the work they are doing in the field.

Crews have undertaken accredited training at both Wodonga Institue of Tafe and Riverna TAFE - National Environment Centre which assists in gaining employment in the environmental field.

Working in the Environment

As part of Parklands commitment to the CDEP it is our aim to seek employment for the CDEP participants in the environmental field.

Through the training they receive the crew become qualified to take on employment as gardeners, park maintenance workers or Koori Rangers in our National Parks.
