David Saxton

Field Ranger

David joined the Parklands team in 2009 after spending many months volunteering with us.

He grew up in the Upper Murray town of Tooma where he farmed cattle and sheep. He also spent a lot of this time working as a contractor doing mechanical repairs and hay contracting.

David has travelled the world extensively, having visited 22 countries and has worked and lived in many of these.

David is very passionate about the environment having been a member of Landcare for over 25 years as well as a volunteer with the Rural Fire Service and the SES (often as a controller). These roles have given him great people skills and this in turn helps with work at Parklands Albury Wodonga in passing on knowledge and hands on skills in an environmental setting.

Outside of work, David enjoys nature photography, fishing, camping with his children and travelling Australia.
