Departing at 3:30 sharp from the Showgrounds we'll transport you to picturesque Tullimbar Log Cabins overlooking the majestic timber bridge on the former Wodonga Cudgewa railway line. Maybe take a walk closer to this, the highest of 21 timber trestle bridges on this line.
Later on be entertained by the renowned dry wit of Barry Chambers - the North East's own horse whisperer - as he shows off his amazing talents with animals. Enjoy the show whilst being treated to Sue's delicious BBQ tea. BYO heavy drinks.
All this - transport , show , and meal for an all up cost of $40.00 per per person. High Country hospitality included free of charge.
2) KOETONG KAPERS
You and your bike transported to Shelley station.
Departing at 3:00pm sharp for Shelley, formerly the highest railway station in Victoria. Imagine riding the former Wodonga-Cudgewa railway line at the highest station in Victoria. Sounds hard - it needn't be. We've taken all the hard work out of it for you.
Easy downhill 6km through glorious forest country, visiting another soon to be developed section of the High Country Rail Trail.
But don't linger too long or you'll miss the entertainment later on at the Koetong hotel. On arrival at the charming rustic Koetong Hotel, enjoy a cool drink in the gardens or soak up the atmosphere inside whilst listening to the great live folk music. Later on enjoy a tasty BBQ meal with all the trimmings.
$50.00 gets you up there and fed, and driven back to Tallangatta. Purchase your own drinks at normal pub prices.
