Form Friends of Parklands Group

Do you have an area managed by parklands Albury Wodonga near you? Would you like to become actively involved in the development of your regional parklands and the development and management of the natural environment around Albury  Wodonga?

If the answer to any of these questions is yes, we would love to have your help.

parklands is keen for the community to become involved in Albury Wodonga regional parklands, either by participating in activities organized by parklands or by helping form a Friends of Parklands group.

Just imagine: a couple of hours a month helping to plant indigenous species, control weeds or taking part in other worthwhile activities followed by a relaxing BBQ in some of Albury-Wodonga's best natural settings. When you see fauna and flora returning to your area, You can feel the satisfaction of a job well done that will benefit generations to come.

Schools can be involved, too, using the environment as an outdoor classroom. An earlier newsletter highlighted the great work undertaken by Burrumbuttock Primary School and the community at Wirraminna Environmental Education Centre, Burrumbuttock.

Activities you can undertake include pest plant control, planting and propagation days walking trail development, construction and installation of park facilities, nesting box construction and fauna and flora survey work.
