From Rivers to Rolling Hills - Regional Parklands of Albury and Wodonga

parklands Albury Wodonga together with the Hume Building Society launched the new publication “From rivers to rolling hills – regional parklands of Albury and Wodonga” on Thursday 30th October 2003.

The booklet is a 24 page full color publication focusing on the Albury Wodonga Regional Parklands and was launched by Mr. Ulf Ericson, Chairman of the Hume Building Society.

Hume identified the sponsorship of the booklet “From rivers to rolling hills” as a unique opportunity.  Mr. Ericson commented that “We are delighted to be associated with parklands Albury Wodonga, who are a not for profit organisation, undertaking wonderful environmental and recreational based projects for the benefit of the Albury Wodonga region.  At Hume, we take pride in being part of the community and believe that this booklet will showcase our natural environment as a community asset for everyone to enjoy.”

parklands are excited to have Hume as a partner in establishing the most magnificent regional parklands in Australia.  The link between parklands and Hume has synergy in Hume’s slogan “Part of your Life” when you consider all the benefits that result from parkland environments in terms of social, health, lifestyle and economic benefits.”

With the booklet, parklands now has a means to promote the regional parklands to the community and business.  The regional parklands are emerging as one of the regions great achievements – the community working together to create the most magnificent regional parklands system in Australia.

The printing undertaken by Blake’s Printing of Wodonga, an accredited Waste Wise Company, who are closing the loop on recycling.

The booklet was designed by parklands Interpretation and Community Liaison Officer, Ms. Toni Lancaster, once again demonstrating her talent in producing high quality interpretive material.

Copies of the booklet can be purchased from all Hume Building Society Branches, and parklands Office in the Gateway Village, Lincoln Causeway, or on 6023 4417.  The cost is $3.30 (Inc GST) with all proceeds to be allocated to further reprints of the booklet.
