sunsational summer Calendar of Events now available

parklands Albury Wodonga has just released it summer activities calendars entitled “sensational summer”.  The calendar of events is a great opportunity to become familiar with the regional parks by taking part in activities close to where you live, or to explore parks further from home during the school holidays. What better way to learn than in the outdoors, refresh the mind, relax, meet new friends the benefits are endless.

The following are a selection of the sunsational summer activities on offer:

 

Beating around the bush...

Bush walks at Huon Hill Parklands, Federation Hill, Padman Park, Gateway Island and McFarlanes Hill.  Join our discovery rangers with their Nature’s supermarket and Nature's hardware shop

Night walks

Join in on a night walk at Huon Hill Parklands and Gateway Island. 

Kids Kapers

These activities are more ‘discovery’ orientated. As such they are designed for the 3-6 age groups. There may be limited numbers for older children.

·   Frogs ‘n’ water bugs

Come along and look for aquatic beasties. You might even find Randall from Monsters Inc. living in the wetlands.

·   Mini-beast magic

Mini-beasts are amazing. Take the hike searching for mini beasts.

·   Sens-sational

A sensory discovery day:  See, hear, touch, smell and taste!

·   Bush stories

Bring a picnic or a snack and listen to the adventures of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie and other bush stories.
