Solar Hot Water System

The IMBY House project is now taking shape with the solar hot water service fitted.  Installed by Davy Industries, the installation attracted a rebate.

Community Buildings Photovoltaic Rebate Program

parklands has just been notified that its application for a Photovoltaic System through the Sustainable Energy Authority Victoria, through the Australain Greenhouse Office,  has been granted.  In effect, the installation of this system will allow the house to run on solar energy, with power generated but not used returned to the TXU Networks distribution system.

Border Permaculture Club

The Club has finalised its plans for the permaculture gradens, with the Regional Skills - Work for the Dole crew removing vegetation and materials from the site.

Green Corps Program

A Green Corps team has recently started work at the IMBY House.  The team will share its 6 months between IMBY and Huon Hill Parklands.  Currently the team are working on the orchard area of the IMBY site.
