Burraja – the journey
Burraja Aboriginal Heritage and Environmental Discovery Centre offers educational and general interest tours focusing on Aboriginal heritage, culture and the environment. Located at the Gateway Village, the centre offers a wide range of activities including:
A Bush Tucker Garden has been completed at the from of the building. Dean Kuch (a horticulturist/environmentalist), has been helping with construction of the garden and is keen to become involved with Burraja on a more regular basis. Burraja staff are developing an itinerary for tours that would include Burraja – the journey, parklands nature-based activities and other local tourist attractions. Aboriginal Discovery Ranger guided tours and self-guided tours are available to suit a wide range of people and groups including schools, tertiary education institutions, business, community or special interest groups and casual visitors.
