Cooper Hand Tools ensuring environmental excellence
Following a presentation to a range of business leaders in Albury Wodonga late in 2004, Cooper Hand Tools continued to be a strong supporter of the regional parklands by offering to fund the printing of parklands corporate information booklet. The funding is for printing of the 2004 edition and for a reprint in mid 2005. Corporate support from organisations such as Cooper Hand Tools demonstrates the benefits that can be achieved from cooperation between business and the community. In 2002, Cooper Tools Albury (Now known as Cooper Hand Tools) won the Silver Award in the Cooper Industries Worldwide 2002 Environmental Excellence Awards. The win encouraged Cooper Hand Tools to become actively involved in the Padman-Mates Park project in West Albury and it generously donated $10,000 to the project. With the Cooper Hand Tools prize money, parklands undertook works such as interpretive signage, tree planting, weed control and a walking track along the beautiful Murray River. Cliff Swatton, Chairman of parklands said “parklands once again thanks Cooper Hand Tools and their staff in Albury Wodonga for their ongoing support and commitment to the regional parklands. This demonstrates their commitment to the environment of Albury Wodonga in which their factory operates, and their staff work and live.” If your organisation would like to support a parklands venture, please contact Wayne Carlson on 02 6023 6714. |
