Jobs at Bonegilla Migrant Experience Heritage Park

Last week, the Minister for Heritage announced successful Commonwealth Government Jobs Fund grants.  As part of a partnership with Albury Library Museum, City of Wodonga and the Migrant Experience Steering Committee, Parklands Albury Wodonga is undertaking the building restoration component of this larger project.

Parklands is seeking two reliable and self motivated people:

BUILDING RESTORATION WORK SUPERVISOR

Implement heritage building restoration works at the Bonegilla Migrant Experience Heritage Park, 10km's west of Wodonga. 
Supervise, train and support community volunteers and employment work program participants. 
Experience working with Community Committees, trade qualifications or background in building and ground maintenance preferred. 
30 hours per week, fixed term contract to 30 June 2010.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT OFFICER

Recruit and support volunteers, community groups and non-english speaking background community groups in particular.
Coordinate induction, training and ad hoc community working bees for community volunteers.
Media skills (press releases and newsletter) and experience working with Non English Speaking Background community preferred. 
8 hours per week, fixed term contract to 30 June 2010.
