A number of significant works have been developed and constructed at Huon Hill Parklands. These include: road upgrading and sealing; by-pass lanes; car parking; composting toilets; barbecue and shelter facilities; and lookout platforms. Other projects involved: additional walking tracks, fencing, signage and interpretation, and revegetation on the slope and gully. University and TAFE students have been involved in fencing, revegetation works and flora/fauna surveys which will aid in the preparation of the Huon Hill management plan. 2004 National Tree Day saw a group of dedicated local volunteers plant over 800 trees in a gully descending from Huon Hill towards the Murray River. FundingInitial funding of $50,000 for the project was obtained through Business Victoria, via the Victorian Government's Community Support Fund. Wodonga City Council, and the Rotary Clubs of Wodonga West, Wodonga and Belvoir/Wodonga and parklands, have combined to contribute an additional $25,000 in cash and a similar amount of in-kind support.
A management plan is being developed for the Huon and Kiewa River parklands.
