Burraja the journey

Burraja the journey

Burraja “The Journey” is an Aboriginal Heritage and Environmental Discovery Centre that offers educational and general interest tours and programs that focus upon the elements of Aboriginal culture, heritage and the environment.

  • Experience the thrill of throwing a spear with a “Woomera”.
  • Learn how stone flakes were made for making spear points and knives.
  • Learn how Aboriginal people lived sustainably in the local environment.

We offer tours that target a wide range of people and groups including educational institutions, businesses, community and other interest groups having a conference in Albury Wodonga.

Public tours are conducted Monday—Friday, and bookings through the Gateway Visitor Information Centre are welcome for special tour groups up to 25 people. Larger groups by arrangement.

Public tours Monday-Friday no minimum number.

We design our tours and programs to suit you.

Burraja “The Journey” is situated in between Albury and Wodonga in the Gateway Village complex on the Lincoln Causeway (which is part of the Hume Hwy).

Albury Wodonga is located 3 hours from Melbourne and 6 hours from Sydney.

Commercial Services is a division of Parklands that has been established to provide unique services and training for the benefit of the regional community. Any profits from its operations are returned to the development of the regional Parklands.

The Burraja Centre is widely acknowledged as an important Aboriginal training and cultural heritage tourist facility.
