DESCRIPTION:Join Parklands Rangers undertaking a variety of practical conservation works on our patch of paradise. Our neighbours call this Paradise Island! 8km of the 9km circuit around this Island\, to the east of Gateway Island\, was fenced and revegetated a decade ago\, providing quality habitat for many native fauna species. \nLearn how to remove the invasive plant species threatening this high conservation Murray River island. This is an opportunity to work alongside our Rangers experiencing the ‘how to’ of caring for our local bush. No experience is necessary – our Rangers will help with plant identification and removal techniques. \nTake in the fresh air\, get close to nature\, and learn about the local environment and how our community are working to protect threatened species\, improve habitat\, and link habitat corridors across the region. \nWe will be tackling privet\, box elder\, wild tobacco\, and plenty more species. You will become an expert in pest plant identification! These works are in preparation for reafforestation in future years. \nWhen: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (4 hrs). \nWhere: Carpool from the corner of Huon Street and Church Street\, Wodonga. DESCRIPTION:Three great rides\, one fantastic day! \nEver wanted to explore the magnificent forests of the Upper Murray on your bicycle – but thought it was too hard?? The Tallangatta Rail Trail Action Group have the answer for you!! They’ll take you on a marvelous day of easy riding and exploration of the upper reaches of the High Country Rail Trail. \nCost is $100 per person.\nThis includes bus transfer to Shelley Station\, morning tea at Koetong Station\, BBQ lunch along the trail\, and afternoon tea at the Tallangatta Goods Shed at the end of the ride. \nBookings are essential! Please download and fill out the registration form below and email to tallangattattt@yahoo.com.au. \n  \nWhat to expect: \n\nBus departs Tallangatta Goods Shed at 9am sharp for Shelley Station.\nRide 10 km of easy downhill through magnificent native and pine forest to Koetong Station for morning tea.\nHead off via Darbyshire to Bullioh\, another gentle downhill ride of 19 km with superb views of the historic trestle bridges. Our neighbours call this Paradise Island! 8km of the 9km circuit around this Island\, to the east of Gateway Island\, was fenced and revegetated a decade ago\, providing quality habitat for many native fauna species. \nLearn how to remove the invasive plant species threatening this high conservation Murray River island. This is an opportunity to work alongside our Rangers experiencing the ‘how to’ of caring for our local bush. No experience is necessary – our Rangers will help with plant identification and removal techniques. \nTake in the fresh air\, get close to nature\, and learn about the local environment and how our community are working to protect threatened species\, improve habitat\, and link habitat corridors across the region. \nWe will be tackling privet\, box elder\, wild tobacco\, and plenty more species. You will become an expert in pest plant identification! These works are in preparation for reafforestation in future years. \nWhen: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (4 hrs). \nWhere: Carpool from the corner of Huon Street and Church Street\, Wodonga. Please arrive on time as we will leave at 9 am sharp. \nWhat is supplied: All tools and any specific safety equipment needed. \nWhat to bring: BYO drinking water. It may be cold. \nWhat to bring: Please wear warm clothes\, closed shoes\, and bring a personal torch.
