DESCRIPTION:Over the summer\, a significant amount of box elder woody weeds were removed from Turtle Island and now it’s time to get some native seedlings in! Our plantings will create a much more diverse habitat which will provide extra refuges for native animals as the climate continues to change and urban areas grow. \nPlease note: You will be required to paddle in a canoe a short distance across the Murray River to reach Turtle Island. \nWhen: 9:30 am to midday. \nWhere: Meet at the Doctors Point boat ramp. \nWhat is supplied: All tools and any specific safety equipment needed. \nWhat to bring: BYO drinking water. For your safety\, please wear covered shoes (preferably boots)\, long pants\, long sleeves\, and a hat. \nPlease register here! \nThank you to the Australian Government for their financial support through the Natural Heritage Trust under the Urban Rivers and Catchments program.
