Join Parklands Rangers to find out! \nRanger Dan will lead you on a night adventure spotlighting for nocturnal native wildlife along the Kiewa. \nParklands have been working with the community restoring the native plants to the area in recent years to support native wildlife. We’ll be looking out for possums\, gliders\, owls and more… \nThis is a family friendly event. \nWhere: Meeting point Gullifer Lane Rail Trail Access \nWhat to expect: We will walk along the rail trail\, walking on a mix of paved path and natural surfaces. It may be cold. \nWhat to bring: Please wear warm clothes\, closed shoes and bring a personal torch\, and remember; quiet is key! \nRegistration prior to the event is essential for communication\, safety and insurance purposes. SUMMARY:Collecting seed from native plants with Sue Brunskill
DESCRIPTION:Join horticulturist Sue Brunskill for a hands-on introduction to seed collecting. A seasoned bush regenerator and teacher\, Sue is passionate about native plants and their propagation. This workshop will include recognising the different stages of plant reproduction\, knowing when to harvest and different techniques for different local native species. \nWhere: Gateway island Regional Park. Meet on Harris Road (entry on left from Lincoln Causeway heading towards Wodonga)\, just before the Railway Bridge underpass. \nWhat to bring: Bring a shopping bag to carry collected seed in. BYO water bottle\, gardening gloves and hat.
