Parklands and La Trobe University collaborate to improve the management of regional parklands in a variety of different ways, including:

• supporting student learning with student projects requiring on-ground application of environmental management theory,
• La Trobe University has assisted Parklands with the management of Gateway Island wetlands, providing technical and academic support.
