The 67 m long bridge at Dry Forest Creek, Bullioh survived the January 2026 bushfire. It was restored between 2015 and 2019 after deteriorating since the closure of the line. It was affected by white-ants, and damaged by willow growth and flood debris. Two girder and pylon sections had completely collapsed. The reconstruction used parts of the original bridge steel plus blue gum posts and redgum decking. The pier and cross-head trestles were put together and braced individually on the ground, then lifted into position and bolted onto new concrete footings. The restoration work was completed by the Tallangatta Rail Trail Advisory Group together with Parklands Rangers, volunteers, neighbours, and contractors. The opening of the bridge was a huge milestone after years of hard work!
