The trestle bridge at Koetong Creek, Koetong was lost in the January 2026 Upper Murray bushfire. The original bridge was 47 m long and 11.2 m tall, consisting of nine timber spans. The bridge was restored in 2013 after initial assessments indicated that some of the pylons, cross beams, and bearers had deteriorated and needed replacing. Firstly, the unsafe decking was removed so work could begin. The Army Reserve Construction Regiment felled and milled the timber required and a number of upright pylons were cut and new sections added. New decking was then installed along with handrails. Works were carried out by members of the Tallangatta Rail Trail Advisory Group, community volunteers, and Parklands Rangers.
