Great Southern BioBlitz 2025 – Bear’s Hill Nature Walk

Join us for a walk to seek and make nature observations (of plants, animals, and fungi) to upload to iNaturalist and add some regional records to the Great Southern BioBlitz 2025. We’ll share tips for noticing nature, how and why to record what you find, and how to use the iNaturalist app to help confirm the ID and contribute to biodiversity knowledge. Bear’s Hill is an urban reserve that is home to many interesting plants, animals, and fungi so come along to see what we can find! Please be aware that we will be walking on gentle slopes, on natural, unpaved, and possibly wet surfaces.

When: 1:00 – 3:00 pm.

Where: Meet at the Bear’s Hill access gate on Donnington Drive.

What to bring: Your mobile or other camera; dress for the weather and wear closed shoes, long pants, and sun protection.
