This week we are celebrating the completion of boardwalks on the Kiewa River trail at Baranduda and say goodbye to soggy boots and boggy walking at last!

A big thank you to Steeline for donating the steel for this project, the team at Wodonga Men’s Shed for fabricating the boardwalk and the willing crew of staff and volunteers from the Indie School for their assistance installing them.

The boardwalk makes access from Chapples Rd to the Kiewa river possible all year round, crossing a wet area which is often muddy, especially in wet seasons.

A big thank you also to Wodonga Middle Years students who walked along the Kiewa River trail with Parklands rangers removing some of the redundant fences. This is a job that has been on the ‘to-do-list’ for many years, knocked over in a matter of hours thanks to the time and efforts of twenty students.

Parklands acknowledges the support of the Victorian government and the Ross Trust for this program.
