Make 2026 Your Year to Get Out in our Local Parks!

Take a look at all the ways you can get out and about in parks and reserves around the Albury Wodonga region in 2026!

As Parklands Albury Wodonga enters its 28th year, we are pleased to share tentative dates for 28 nature-based events scheduled for regional parks that are managed by Parklands Albury Wodonga, plus additional events in other reserves around Albury Wodonga.

The monthly Parklands Park Explorer will take you to new or little-known parts of regional parks that are managed by Parklands Albury Wodonga, with paddle, cycle, and walk events to choose from. In 2026 we are offering these on both Wednesdays and Sundays to make them available to more people. First up will be a paddle for experienced canoers from Waterworks to Diamond Park on 27 Feb. Check out the event listing here!

Other popular nature-based events will raise funds for event organisers Bonegilla Rail Trail Advisory Group, Tallangatta Rail Trail Advisory Group, Rotary Club of Albury West, Rotary Club of Lake Hume, Rotary Club of Albury North, Mitta Mitta Canoe Club and Tangambalanga Lions Club.

For those looking for a challenge, Dawn League Events will be delivering the 10th year of the Riverina Trail Running Series with five trail runs that tackle some of the most rugged terrain around Albury Wodonga’s hills with both short and long course distance options.

There are also plenty of volunteering opportunities with morning sessions for our River Stewardship on Browns Island (Tuesdays) and Community Stewardship (Thursdays) resuming from 3 Feb. You can find these events listed on our website here.

Keep an eye on our website for other one-off nature-based events that will be published during 2026. We hope to see you out there!
