Parkland’s Green Army team last week installed 2 new boardwalks into the mountainbike trail near Howards Road at Baranduda, bringing closer the completion of the new trail.

These boardwalks are key components in the Green (beginner level) bike trail, ensuring the loop is suitable for beginning riders. By eliminating the gully crossings, they also reduce the potential for erosion and damage to the landscape.

The boardwalks are all being manufactured in the Parklands workshop by Ranger Shane Vanderwerf, transported to the trail and installed by the Green Army team. Three will be required to complete the trail.
