A new Multicultural Community Farm Committee was voted in at the Annual General Meeting at the Gateway Island community farm earlier this month.

One of the first duties of the new committee was to host visitors from the Scanlon Foundation, Border Trust and the Murray Valley Sanctuary Refugee Group on 22nd November 2023.

The visitors received a tour of the thriving community gardens and inspected the new irrigation infrastructure which is providing water to the site.

The new infrastructure has been provided with the support of the Border Trust and Scanlon Foundation, and housed in a new shed fabricated by the Wodonga Men’s Shed. Many thanks to these generous partners for ensuring essential services to this important local institution.
