  3. Environment Award goes to Sarah Thompson

Parklands volunteer Sarah Thompson, 23, has been recognised with the 2015 RED Carpet Youth Award in the Environment category. Sponsored by Enviro Culture, the Environment award acknowledges Sarah’s positive contribution as a young person making a difference in the local community.

Sarah was one of 36 finalists from 69 nominations in the Wodonga Council awards. The RED Carpet Youth Awards cover nine categories including environment, performing arts, caring and volunteer work.

Parklands nominated Sarah for these awards in recognition of her inspiring approach to developing skills to tackle complex environmental issues in our regional landscapes. Sarah has just completed her Parks and Recreation degree at Charles Sturt University, Thurgoona, and has been a volunteer with Parklands for the past 18 months.

Thanks for your great contribution Sarah and congratulations!
