With wild weather and heavy rains, flood season has arrived; we hope slightly less vigorously than last year!

The Kiewa River is rising, with an official Flood Warning from the Bureau of Meteorology current. In this weather, the river can rise and fall substantially in one day.

So far the new Kiewa River boardwalk along the Railtrail is performing well, and we hope it will not be challenged further.

However the banks of the river itself are slippery so please avoid the edges and beware if you have reason to be there.

In other parks and trails, lower areas are becoming difficult to negotiate. We ask that park users use common sense and keep the challenges of the wet weather in mind.
