This week Bhutanese Community Farm volunteers welcomed special guests from the Corowa Community Garden to Gateway Island. The group was treated to a tour of the gardens with Ranger Tilak Chhetri and refreshments provided by the Ethnic Community Council.

Despite increasing heat and a myriad of flies as the morning progressed, the 18 visitors became engrossed in exploring the garden, discussing vegetable production and exchanging ideas with their fellow gardeners.

Friendship and further exchanges were warmly promised from both sides, and both the Bhutanese Community Farm and Corowa Community Farm Facebook pages agreed as a place to keep in touch and share ideas and activities.

Special thanks to the Albury Wodonga Ethnic Community Council who supported the event, and to the Corowa Community Garden group for their time in visiting and providing their collective wisdom.
