Ready, set, go! Coming to the community- and Parklands-managed High Country Rail Trail on 2 June is a marathon like no other! Beginning at the Koetong Pub and finishing at Pelican Park along the Lake Hume foreshore in Tallangatta, the Pub to Pelican traverses the beautiful scenery of the higher altitudes of the Rail Trail. The route provides a unique way to experience this part of the trail, as it passes among a variety of landscapes and provides up-close views of several of the heritage trestle bridges. Not only that, but the first 20 of 42 km consists of a downhill gradient and therefore a chance to run an overall fast time!

The marathon event also caters to runners of all abilities with a half-marathon at 21 km, a 10 km option, and a junior race at 3 km for runners 12 years and under. Head to the website here for all the info.
