Parklands is anticipating keen interest in the Wodonga Waterways Community Forum coming up in Baranduda.

The Forum, focused on the lower reaches of the Kiewa River, Middle Creek and Jack in the Box Creek, will be the final in a series of community forums covering the waterways of Wodonga.

Led by the Wodonga Urban Landcare Network, the forums will include information from organisations including NECMA, NE Water and Wodonga Council and presentations from local experts in biodiversity and waterway ecology. Most importantly, the forums provide opportunity for community members to record the issues they are aware of and their vision for the future maintenance and development of these waterways.

Parklands manages the majority of the Kiewa River frontage from Yackandandah Creek to Killara, and have worked hard to create almost 25km of walking track to facilitate community access to the river. Community Ranger Anthea Packer hopes all residents enjoying access to this beautiful river will bring their feedback to the Forum.

The Forum will be held at the Baranduda Community Centre, 1-3pm on Sunday 2nd August All are welcome!
