Parks Victoria and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) have notified Parklands of their intention to carry out a fuel reduction burn along the High Country Rail Trail this coming weekend.

The burn will affect 3km of the Rail Trail adjoining Koetong-Darbyshire Creek near Mt Lawson State Park. Philby Lane will mark the eastern end of the burn.

The trail will be closed on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th April. Walkers and cyclists are advised to watch for updates and under no circumstances attempt to use this section of the Rail Trail during the burn.
