With Covid restrictions easing and recovery funding becoming available, regional plans and projects that have been on the shelf are finally being given the green light, and this means jobs. Both Parklands and the North East CMA are seeking registrations for anticipated positions.

Parklands Albury Wodonga are seeking expressions of interest to join our bank of casual Rangers.  A bank of diversely skilled casuals enables our small organization to draw on the relevant skills to deliver on key environmental and park projects as these opportunities arise and provide economic benefits through employment. As one-off project funding, sponsorships or community partnerships enable projects to go ahead, we draw on our casual Ranger skills bank to fill the positions created.

To learn more and register your interest in casual Ranger work with Parklands, please fill and submit this form.

The North East CMA currently has opportunities for young people seeking full-time employment in the natural resource management sector in north east Victoria for 12 months.

Six positions are available through the Youth Employment Program (YEP). The Victorian Government has endorsed the YEP to employ up to 800 young people across the State under the Working for Victoria platform.

Applications open soon for 12-month fixed term positions in the following areas:

  • Statutory Planning Support Officer
  • Environmental Water/Community Science Support Officer
  • GIS Support Officer
  • Agriculture Industry Support Officer
  • Project Support Officer
  • Work, Health and Safety Support Officer

Applicants must be aged up to 29 years old and legally able to work in Victoria. Applicants must be either unemployed, working 12 hours or less a week, or have experienced a significant reduction in income recently.

Please register on the Working for Victoria platform now at www.vic.gov.au/workingforvictoria.

For more information on these YEP positions, please phone 1300 216 513 or email the CMA at necma@necma.vic.gov.au
