Winter 2023 has meant a new wave of restoration plantings into the bushfire affected landscapes of the Upper Murray.

Parklands have been privileged to assist the Upper Murray Landcare Network with their bushfire recovery endeavours in this very special part of the world. Our Recovery Ranger team have loved every minute, from pea-soup fogs to magnificent views across the Upper Murray to the snow country.

Our planting efforts are supplementing the natural regeneration processes that are already evident in the region. It was a delight to find Tree Violet, Bursaria and other native shrubs regenerating in these previously scorched landscapes as we planted – testament to the clever strategies of our resilient native species to persist beyond fire.

Parklands gratefully acknowledges the assistance of Border Trust and the Towong Community Bushfire Disaster Relief Fund for this Recovery Ranger project.
