The Bush for Birds program in NE Vic has really taken the mystery out of revegetation for local landholders with the release of a comprehensive set of short videos on the topic.

From planning a revegetation project, choosing the best site for the outcomes you want, preparing the soil and finding the right species, to planting and protecting your revegetation, this suite of videos steps through everything you need to consider and the practical ‘how to’ of revegetation.

They are available on the North East CMA website Revegetation video series (necma.vic.gov.au) or watch the whole playlist on YouTube Bush for Birds Revegetation Series July 2022 – YouTube

These videos round out a great collection of resources for landholders wanting to improve the health of their land. The NECMA website has other great resources for download including comprehensive native plant lists for each locality on the NE region, down to which plants to expect on which landform from creek flats to slopes and hills.

Parklands are grateful for the resources NECMA provides including project funding through the Bush for Birds program. The program is currently supporting us to deliver a five year project on Baranduda Range, improving habitat on a significantly challenging 100 hectare site.
