The wildflowers are out along the Hume and Hovell track and the weather perfect for walking!

Parklands work in partnership with Tumbaraumba Shire and NSW Lands to maintain this historic walking track. The team have been busy over the last few weeks improving the trail for walkers on a section through the Woomargama State Forest.

The track meanders amongst gentle slopes of open woodland featuring Box, Stringybark and Red Gum trees. Walkers can expect to see daisies, lilies, heaths and other groundcover species in flower, and of course a variety of native grasses putting up their showy seed heads.

This section of the track is accessible from Tunnel Rd. Walking maps and further information are available from the Lands NSW website
