With the ground at last sufficiently dry to allow access, works have begun on  two short walks to view historic trestle bridges in the Upper Murray section of the High Country Rail Trail.

Rail Trail volunteers have been anticipating this project for many years, with the steel signs cut for the project fifteen years ago by Larsons Engineering, plans and resources coming together, and the community interest in developing Rail Trails gathering momentum.

A big thank you to the Lifecycle Upper Murray group, whose inaugural working bee installed the Cudgewa Railway Station signage. Many thanks also to the Bonegilla Rail Trail Action Group, who created the steel signs all those years ago. It is great to see these extremely heavy pieces in the ground at last!

We look forward to reporting further progress on these walks.

Parklands Albury Wodonga acknowledges the support of the Victorian Government for this program.
