This week our ‘great places to walk off your isolation blues’ feature is the Baranduda Conservation Reserve.

A mix of earth foot and fire trails will take you across country through interesting remnant vegetation, hidden valleys and ridgelines with spectacular views.

Trails are marked with green posts. Interpretive signs along the trails tell stories of the natural values of these reserves. You will be amazed at who else lives here! More information on this reserve can be found here.

Autumn is a great time to get out and explore the conservation reserves as the snakes have gone into hibernation.  We recommend:

Wombat Nature Trail: park on Boyes Road, Baranduda. This is a short 2.3km loop with 45m of elevation. Gpx file can be accessed below

Kestrel Nature Trail: park on Boyes Road, just near Frederick Street, Baranduda. This is  a longer 6.3km loop with 150m of elevation. Gpx file can be accessed below
